I am officially a master of the Japanese language! Har har!!!

Hey new post/old news!!! But neverthelesss new post finally! I didn't really know what title to put in so I'm gonna go with that... Speaking of Gonna Go...

I am so addicted to this song omg! OTL Gonna go gonna gonna go! I kept singing it in class today. Rainbow is a korean girl group and this is their 1st original japanese single! I like them a lot and I totally love their leader, Jaekyung (The lady with the red dress; OMG she is so beautiful!!! ;-;)

Anyway, this past Friday I went to the class in the morning and then I passed from the Greek-Japanese association to meet my teacher and get the N1 degree in my hands. I met with my mom and sis on the way. Sis came back from England to see us and participate in the carnival with her friends so we took the opportunity to go out, visit the shops and have a meal at TGI Friday's (I'm a regular there).

Naturally I dressed up but I hated every selca I took so no photos of the outfit. ><

So, when we reached the Association my teacher, Ms. Suzuki was so happy to see me that she burst out in tears. I am considered to be one of her most precious student and I love her very much. She's like a 2nd mom to me. We took a couple of photos as well.

Le me: Proud Owner of the Proficiency Degree in the Japanese Language. I can now teach it officially!

With Ms. Suzuki! ^^ I plan to visit the Association from time to time even now that I'm over with my japanese studies.

And then we walked around Kolonaki (the luxurious neighbourhood in downtown Athens) Sis saw this giant wooden marionette (Pinocchio) and pretended to be conversing with it. She's hilarious!

After the meal in Friday's. 2 sisters posing together. My blouse is from Zara. ^^

Mom and sis. She likes to pose all smily and stuff. Hahaha! ^^

Photobucket

And the random pic of the day. A fluffy cat near Syntagma. We saw her/him and my sister yelled "TAKE A PHOTO OF IT!" and I whipped my cam to take a photo. At the same time a squadron of tsoliades (greeks soldiers in traditional garbs) were passing by. My mom was "TAKE A PHOTO OF THEM". I couldn't hear my mom so I took the pic of the cat. My mom assumed I was embarrased to take a photo of the soldiers so she started laughing but I was confused and asked "Why? Wasn't I supposed to take a pic of the cat?". Ok I admit I'm slow when it comes to noticing guys etc. XD

Anyway, this weekend I was too absorbed playing video games. Namely, my sis got my Final Fantasy XIII-2 and me, being a HUGE FF nerd since 1997... well got lost in playing it. I think I want to play again... Right now...

I leave you with the FF XIII-2 theme song, New World by the Philippino diva Charice Pempengco! This tiny girl has an amazing voice! The original song is named Yakusoku no Basho and is sung in Japanese by Fukui Mai (she's great imo, look her up).

Rock feeling and on seeing friends after a long time

Yesterday I had a long day. I had classes during the noon and the buses weren't running at that time (don't ask, strikes here are like snow in the mountains during winter; they happen regularly and hinder people all the time). So, I walked to the metro station and I walked all the way to my school (around 30 minutes). The class was very interesting so it was worth it. History and the teachings of economic crises. (<3) People may find it boring but for me it combines two of my most favorite subjects: History and Economics...
Ah! I digress! I digress! Anyway, after classes were over me and my friends from the course walked a good 40 minutes to downtown Athens (Syntagma Square). While we were walking we also saw all the buildings that got burnt down during the riots last week. SMH at all the grunts who did it. Karma is a bitch and I hope it punishes you for vandalizing the property of other people. (and I digress again...)
After we reached Syntagma I chilled at Costa Coffee waiting for my good friend, Xenia to arrive. I hadn't seen her in ages and we made plans to meet and explore the shops. Yes, I know I should stop doing that already but as long as there's going to be sales I am going to buy stuff! EOS! Another 1 and a half hours walking around... I am amazed I din't drop dead from exhaustion!
Xenia and I pondered on how long it has been since we actually saw each other. Was it around October when we last met? I don't remember clearly but it was definately before December. You know the feelings you get when you meet with a friend that you have missed? It doubles the fun cause, face it, you never know when you'll meet again. Especially if it's a like-minded friend.
So, we had our fun and then parted ways. I came home late and not in the mood to update so I'm doing it now! ^^

I dressed up yesterday. Rock feeling. I have a lot of clothes of the casual rock style and I tend to wear them often. But fun thing is I don't listen to rock that much. I like classic rock and pop-rock but I hate metal. I am an rnb, pop and hip-hop chick. So you see me dressed in black, chains, chockers etc with all-black make-up but my mp3 plays songs like this one:

Or this one:

Walking paradox. But I can't help if I like the skulls and crosses etc. >< 1st song is from a Japanese duo that sings sweet songs (Tegomasu) and the 2nd from a korean duo that does hip-hop Supreme Team. FACT: I love male duos in almost every kind of music!

Here's yesterday's outfit btw:

Close ups

Tried the Dior white pencil. Not too visible I suppose. :P

Full shot:

I effin' love this picture cause the pose came out amazing and model-like. Now if only I didn't have that wide torso that makes me look fat and without a waist when I wear clothes... -.- I have a waist I swear.

I think the skirt-blouse combination came out great though! I don't remember tha name of the store I bought the blouse from (only that it was expensive) but the skirt is from Terranova. I have it in pink as well.

The back of the blouse is even more unique. XD

And some pics from the stores. I would have taken more if they allowed photographing inside the stores, if it was bright outside (which it wasn't as it already got dark when we started to walk around the shops) and if I bothered to try sth on a trying room.
So just 3 photos:

Found a cute dress in Zara which we wanted to show to one of our friends, Margarita. This is for you. Xenia asked me to censor her face. WAT? YOU DON'T LIKE MY MOUSE-DRAWN HEART? HDU IT'S PERFECT!!!11!

Another cute dress from Zara. Mind you we had to take photos like thieves cause they're not allowed ahaha! ^^' This kind of dress is adorable and very spring-like but I wonder how it' d look on me. I think girls with smaller boobs can rock this one better. Better than me anyway.

The Swarovski front window! THE BIG HEART PENDANT! WANT! *_* And afterwards it got dark, so no more photos... -.-

BUT OF COURSE... I couldn't NOT buy anything and with the upcoming Lollikpop party I need some new clothes for clubbing. I swear my clubbing wardrobe has expanded threefold since last year!!

Pink Skull tee from Bershka. It glitters as well but the camera couldn't capture it. I'll wear it with my black shorts. And high heel boots.

Also from Bershka, this cape is a steal! 15 euros on sale! :3 Maybe I'll wear it at the party as well and if I get hot I'll take it off. It reminds me of Gil RaIm's capes in Secret Garden (aka my no1 favorite tv series ever! Hint: It's korean :P)

Now, I don't know what my next update will be and when but I am glad I didn't get bored already. I have this nasty history of leaving blogs/journals etc with just a couple of entries. Hopefully this one is different! Ciao! ;P

Happy News and Sunday morning visit

First the happy news!!

I PASSED MY N1 JAPANESE EXAM! Yes! N1! The highest level of the Japanese language examinations!!! HELL TO THE YEAH! *jams invisible guitar* That means that not only am I qualified to teach the language officially now but I can also find a job in Japan easier! Well, we'll see about that! ^^ (I admit I want to live there for the awesome clothes they have and the food /shallowreasonisshallow... Lol jk! I just think it would be interesting to live there for a couple of years and experience the culture.)

Now, I will resume studying korean. Self-study is difficult but I don't have the time to give my full attention to another language until I finish my master course.

Anyway, today the day was sunny (yet still cold) so me & mom went to visit some relatives that live nearby. And by nearby I mean 5 minutes on foot. XD I got to see my little cousins that I haven't seen since this summer.

Naturally, I took the opportunity to dress up...

I took the opportunity to wear the gray pants I bought from BSB. Top and cardigan are from Zara while the boots are... I forgot from where. I have them for a long time but I rarely wear them and they are in top notch condition. Why don't I wear them more often though? They're super comfy. Stupid me... :P

And then here's my Yumetenbou leopard coat. :P I got it online of course since Yumetenbou is a japanese store. I like gyaru fashion thought I can't see myself as one mainly because I look like an old witch with tons of make up on. I prefer a milder, more natural style of makeup. Clothing wise though I can say I am inspired by gyaru.

Face close up. Today I wore lighter make up. Brown eye pencil by Shiseido, golden eye shadow, lip balm and blusher by Etude House (a korean brand not found in Greece). Also with the Etude House foundation my skin looks so clear! I should order some more from them from Yesstyle. The one's I currently have I bought in Korea.

Muahahaha I kinda look like a perv here! :P

Point: the hood has bear ears!!! Isn't it cute? You'll never find something like this in Greece!

Haha I look like a kid here! XD

And then here are my cousins! This is the boy. ISN'T HE TOO PRETTY TO BE ONE? He's prettier than the girls! 3 years old and with infinite amounts of energy! XD His name is Vaggelis!

And the girl! She will be 6 next week and her name's Eleni. She's also a very beautiful girl but she was sick today hence the super pale face. My mom... well that's my mom and she looks cute. She was reading a book to Eleni. :P

And since it's the carnival season look who we have here in a wig and his mom's sunglasses. OMFG He's adorable and hilarious. And does aegyo (=acting cute in korean) better than a girl!

Watch out! He's a hobo street musician!!! XD He actually played some chords in the guitar smoothly. Maybe he'll be a rock star? I know that he'll definately have girls come after him when he grows up!

And Eleni is looking like a doll even with this messy wig. I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE SUCH PRETTY COUSINS! T^T

Anyway today was fun. Kids can be tiring though. Tomorrow starts the new semester at school. I wonder what kind of new professors I'll get. ^^

Well, bye for now!

One more outfit and new items! And some kpop spamming...

Heya~ Wassuuuuuuuup? /fail I have some days befor classes start again and I am in the mood to laze around at home and go out with friends. Those two are usually mutually exclusive so... I'm weird aren't I?

Anyway, yesterday I went out with friends for coffee and a strategic meeting. See, said friends and I are actually the core members of a group organising regular Asian music Events in Athens. Once a month we have our own party at a club and we generally promote the Asian Pop Wave spearheaded by kpop (korean pop) that is getting really popular in Europe and America. And we are pretty awesome. We even interviewed exclusively the Wonder Girls when they came to Athens to perform for the Special Olympics. Our equally awesome site is: http://www.lollikpop.gr/

Som yes, yesterday was one of the Lollikpop team's strategic meetings. I won't talk what we talked about. Instead, I dressed up so here's yesterday's outfit and close up photos:

Here I try to get a model's pose and I fail miserably. Posted just for the lulz.

Quick outfit breakdown:
Jacket: BSB
Long T-shirt: Bershka
Jeans: Tally Weijl
Hat: My sister's (lol0
Boots: Tsakiris Mallas
Acessories: Changmin Style Silver Cross bought from YesAsia aeons ago and Gothic Cross from Alchemy Gothic

Quite simple but stylish, no? Close ups:

Just the usual camwhoring! :P

And today I went out shopping again. This time I wanted to get some makeup and skin products. I have oily skin that is a pain in the ass to keep clean and without acne. I have to constantly use a lot of products but clear skin is worth every effort in my opinion.

So... I went to Hondos Center, a big greek department store that specializes in make-up and got some stuff...

Shiseido haul. Imo it's one of the best makeup and skincare brands in the world and not because it's japanese. The high quality of its products has never disappointed me. I got a black eye pencil (my current MAC one is nearly used up), oil control blotting paper for my disgustingly oily skin, the daycare emulsion for skin moisturizing and eye cream (that was a gift because Shiseido is celebrating its 140 years!).

I also got a white eye pencil from Dior. I want to experiment with my make up more so I can't use just black and brown eyepencil. This one has it's own scraper! How cute! XD

And on my way back I stopped by the Tsakiris Mallas store that was having its clearance and bought these boots! I have been eyeing them since last week. The other ones I wanted to buy didn't fit me well (they were awful worn actually haha; I guess I have a good reason I stay clear from wedges). Now I realise this is actually the 3rd pair of boots I buy this winter. It's true I am a boots addict and I also have a big shoes collection. I am thinking of photographing them and listing them so that I know what I have. Ummmm, yeah I should do that.

Ok! Fashion over! Let's listen to some music!
Today I bring you my absolute favorite group, U-KISS. It's a 7 member korean boyband that was formed in 2008 and recently has debuted in Japan as well. Since I am fluent in Japanese I love the idea of my favorite korean groups singing in a language I can understand. Though, I am studying korean as well so soon I think korean won't be a problem for me too. Enjoy their amazing-ness! :P

Exams are over! Fashion check

Exams are finally over for me. I did well, I have no doubt that I got at least passing grades. Stress was killing me so, for the time being I will be able to relax! Though with Athens is a state of chaos I'm not sure how much relaxation I can get. I hope everything calms down eventually. My favorite coffee and clothes shops downtown are trashed though. What to do? D:

Anyway, back into the Exams-are-over mood! I felt like dressing up today and I wore the new pants I bought on Friday. So let's see... Today's fashion check and some links and info for the brands~ ^^

Full body shot (save for the shoes)... See how awesome the pants are?

Here you can see a little bit of the shoes as well! :3

Outfit rundown:

This awesome cape is from Rococo, a greek brand that makes very classy and elegant clothes. Their clothes are inspired by the English aristocracy and I just love the suit and dresses they have. The brand is semi-expensive. This cape originally cost 180 euros. What I love about it is that it's classy yet more youthful. Rococo's clothing is targeted at young bussinessmen/women. English site here
Pants: BSB (I already talked about them in my previous post)
Bag: Guess. Ofc Guess is quite known, no? My old Juicy Couture bag was worn out so I wanted a new one for everyday use. I got this one just after New Year's. Guess site here. I really like Guess' clothes as well but so far I haven't found anything to peak my interest. Anyway...
Shoes: Tsakiris Mallas. One of the biggest shoe franchises in Greece. I love their shoes and the prices are moderate considering their quality. There's a sale going on at my local Tsakiris Mallas with all the shoes half their original prices. I plan on grabbing at least a new pair! English site here

Better glimpse of the shoes and without the cape. The cardigan is from another greek brand, Helmi (I try to support local fashion as much as I can, their site is here) and the t-shirt is from Terranova (the one I bought on Friday) .

So there you have today's look. My friend even told me she felt underdressed next to me. I don't consider it particularly jaw dropping so, just from this, you can understand how dull everyday fashion is for Greek girls. ~_~

A mirror shot without the cardigan. You can see the pants design better here.

And a close up to the head accessory. This is from Accessorize. I love butterflies in jewelry and I love hairbands. Greek girls don't usually wear them, at least girls my age (read: 20+).

And here are some close up shots... My make up is very light here. I tried my other angle. Meh, I don't like it. -.- I prefer my usual overused angle.

Much much better!!

And a close up with the sunglasses cause I'm a diva like that and I wear them even without sun!

1st REAL post - Winter outing and mini shopping haul

Heya! How's it going? Lately it's been really cold in Greece and Europe in general. I guess that means that winter really has come (I wonder if it already came in the Game of Thrones universe cause they keep waiting for it haha ^^'). I was supposed to give the last exam of the winter semester today but what do you know, there's a general strike! Things are very crucial in Greece right now. I digress. This is no political blog... So...

I took the opportunity today to go on a brief outing around my city (Peristeri, the biggest suburb of Athens) with my mom. I wanted to walk and check out the stores since the sales are still going on... I didn't think I'd buy anything but I am me so yeah I ended up buying some stuff.

Let's start with an outing fashion check... I need a full body mirror for this though... gah! Soon!

Very VERY simple outfit. A long dark cyan blouse (not quite a sweater), a simple black beads long necklace and black leggings paired with long black military style boots (no full body shot=no glimpse of the boots, I promise a better photo next time.... my camera is being stupid 90% of the time). For me that's no effort at all but I need to be simple when shopping cause I have to try on clothes and I need to be able to change quickly in and out of them.... Close ups...
Did a little Jiyeon eye-inspired make up. Jiyeon is a member of T-ara, a korean girl group and she uses her eyeliner like this. I use eye pencil cause eyeliner makes me look like a witch. XD

Meh, so simple but it's not like I was going out for the day. The most impressive thing I wore today was my red coat and the Russian hat my grandma had bought me some time ago!

And again, you can't see it in its full glory but I will wear it again! I bought it this winter. It's from Naf Naf and I alway find their clothes very doll-like. This was love at first sight!

I am smitten with this hat. My grandma bought it for me from one of her travels in Northern Greece when I was a first year in the university. But back then my fashion sense lacked in every sense and I wore it once or twice. This winter, these kinds of hats are very fashionable and a must-have. This particular soft color matches most colors, from black to brown and from red to dark green. ^^

Um, I realise this is like my only angle! OTL Sorry 'bout that but I am a lefty and this is the only way I can get decent shots without looking super blurry. I have to try other angles too.

So on to the outing...

There was a very light rain falling but I doubt you can see it. Anyway, this is the city hall of my city. It's relatively new that's why the architecture is quite modern. Behind the city hall there is a big pedestrian road called Pezodromos that is also a shopping center. It's one of the biggest in the western Athenian suburbs... Usually on shopping days it's crowded but...

The only thing missing here is a random hayball passing by. There's hardly any people walking! It could be because of the rain and the cold but there was hardly any wind to say that it was chilling. Usually during the sales this place is packed even on weekdays! It could also be because people no longer have money to buy stuff. Oh! And I forgot the strike in the public transport! Makes sense now...

Heheh, Valentine's is approaching!

It sure is! Look at all those sexy red lingerie! I lol'ed at the heart-shaped one. XD

Anyways, after walking around, we settled for a nice cup of cappuccino (for me) and hot chocolate (for mom) at one of the local cafes. Greeks sure do love going out for coffee! It's one of our favorite past times!

Afterwards we went to the supermarket to buy some stuff and returned home. So, what did I get today?

We went to the BSB store and I found some sweet deals! BSB is a greek clothing apparel that's quite popular with young women. Their prices are... definately not cheap but not too expensive either. I'd say somewhere in the middle. I like their clothes most of the time especially their young adult styles. I used to buy tons of clothes from there but lately I couldn't find something very desirable. Until today heheh... Wanna check their clothes? Visit: http://www.bsbfashion.com/ (English version here)

So...

Item no1:

Oh my! How have I longed for some nice pants!! I am sick of jeans (they will always be the easy way out since they go with almost everything!) So this baby here was only 15 euros, can you believe it? The original price was 80 euros! I love the lacy detail in the belt! It's a bit big for me around the waist but I can ask my grandma to modify it! ^^

Item no2:

A dark gray jacket! Originally 119 euros, now only 19! I still can't believe it! Very classy. I've been longling for a bussiness style jacket for a long time. I plan on wearing it with dresses and shirts.

Item no3:

My favorite of today's buys! Unique cut brown pants! For years I have been eyeing this style of pants but alas my weight did not allow me to wear any and look decent. I lost around 5-6kgs last year so now most clothes look good on me THANK GOD! This one doesn't look very appealing like this but when worn it looks great! :D I have found a pair of heeled boots that will do it justice! They are on my next buy plan! ^^

And last but not least...

Item no4:

This simple but cute top isn't from BSB but from Terranova, an affordable Italian young clothing brand. I thought it matched the pants above and it was only 10 euros so I bought it. ^^' This spring Terranova collection is very colorful and I liked it! Here's their site: http://www.terranovastyle.com

I realise I need to stop shopping... Just a couple of weeks ago I splurged a big amount of money in clothes and accessories. I am a shoppaholic. Best thing I can do is just go out without any money to resist the temptation to buy stuff. Anyway, hoped you liked today's post. I will try to keep up with this blog as much as I can! ^^
